SF State Students experience the art of Cuba

Afro Cuba: Works on Paper, 1968-2003 displays the work of 26 artists residing in Havana and Santiago de Cuba. The exhibition, displayed in Fine Arts, at SF State allows students to see the art of a country that has been off limits because of restrictions on travel and communication with Cuba.

![]() Marta Maria Pérez Bravo’s "Recuerdos de nuestro bebé," or “Memories of our baby,” appears in the Afro Cuba: Works on Paper, 1968-2003 Exhibition in SF State’s Fine Arts Building on March 11. The work of 26 artists residing in Havana and Santiago de Cuba is on display, including 60 prints and drawings spanning over four decades shaped by African cultural heritage.
