Alex Valdman, a recent SF State graduate, has recently experienced first hand, just how far an individual can take streetwear. He custom makes reversible hoodies that are one of a kind, catching the eyes of popular Hip Hop artists Kanye West and Lupe Fiasco.

Another creator and designer with humble beginnings is Matthew Henri, owner of the brand Free Gold Watch.

Henri started out alone, screen-printing in his garage, making just enough money to support him and his family. After facing adversity and eviction, Henri currently employs four people and an intern at his place of business, that has prosperously been open for over a year.
