Dilettantes to tour UK for nine shows

San Francisco-based band The Dilettantes shook Café du Nord with its brand of psychedelic, garage-tinged
mind-fuzz before kicking off its UK tour.

The band, fronted by former Brian Jonestown Massacre tambourine player, Joel Gion, features Jefferson
Parker on vocals and guitar, Nick Russo on back-up vocals and guitar, Nick Marcantonio on bass guitar and
KC Kozak on drums.

Their debut record 101 Tambourines hit the stands in August of 2007. Says Gion of the band, “It’s a big fat mutual
appreciation society.”
