I’ve waited 18 years to have a voice in America. I am able to make my own decisions without anyone telling me that I can’t vote. Every vote counts. So come November, I’ll be at the polls waiting to vote for the person who is going to bring change to America.
There’s no doubt in my mind that I will vote for Sen. Barack Obama.
This year’s election is one of the most important in history. We have reached a point in time that can change America forever. Being able to vote in this election is a wonderful thing. It means that I’m part of that change.
I was told that “All power is in the hands of the people.” If we want to make a difference in the world, we have to come together as one, look past skin color and look at the individual. I’m glad that I am a registered voter. Now I have my say when it comes to electing the next president.
Barack Obama is a prime example of a true leader who will put America back where it needs to be. He’s a passionate and dedicated person with humble characteristics. Ever since the election began, he has been sincere about everything. When he gave his speeches, he didn’t disrespect the opposing party. He kept his composure.
I wouldn’t vote for Sen. John McCain because he supports the war in Iraq.
All those people who lost their lives in Iraq should be alive today. I feel the war is just a waste of time. We have people fighting everyday over something we have no control over.
It’s important to vote and to understand the value behind voting. A long time ago, women were not allowed to vote. Now that has changed. Change is possible.
We have to know within ourselves that the person we elect for president is in the position to make the right decisions.
I believe that if Barack Obama wins, he will send a message to every African American throughout the nation: They can become the next male or female president. It takes serious commitment and the ability to withstand negativity to accomplish what some people may feel is impossible. If people want to see change in America, they need to wake up and realize that Obama is the real deal!
