Students should reject CSU policy
SF State students should not accept any policy imposed by the CSU, or its administration, that pertains to student governance. The students at SF State are fully capable of proposing and implementing the eligibility requirements, if any, for their elected representatives. They can even vote to decrease or eliminate the "mandatory" $42/semester ASI fee.
This is an eye opening experience where I have concluded that the ASI Board at SF State has become a joke—a theatre of puppetry. With only one month left until the end of the 2007-2008 term, the policy doesn't provide a "check and balance"-—It provides a shift in the balance of power from the students to the CSU Administration.
If ASI continues to obey every CSU command, then what response should a student expect from student government when the CSU proposes policies that are contrary to students' interests, such as an increase in student fees?

Former ASI President
I don't know where to begin... I just want to point out that if ASI is a "joke," than why was Isidro on his third term in ASI(1st as President) and why did he attempt to run for re- election(4th term overall) if Administration had not verified his total units(and saw he was in eligable to even finish his term)? Lastly, I take great offense to being called a puppet of the admin. I aren't a puppet of no one!
