Border Patrol recruiting in all the wrong places

The U.S. Border Patrol is coming to San Francisco in an attempt to recruit people to their cause.

Are they unaware that this is a sanctuary city?

It’s not the best place to come looking for people to join a glorified posse in a failed attempt to “secure” the American border.

Does standing out in the middle of nowhere all night sound like fun?

There’s no place like North Beach out on the Mexican border. It’s cold and lonely, but at least you could have a gun.

We do not need a militarized border. There are better ways to secure our nation.

Why not work with countries like Mexico to help push its economy and country into the same status as our own?

Then people aren’t going to be risking their lives in order to sneak into this country. We forget that people are coming here to make a better life for themselves and their family.

Everyone wants the right and the means to support themselves and their families.

Our fellow humans from south of the border aren’t the enemy.

It’s time to stop treating them as such.

If US cities didn't declare themselves sanctuaries for those who are breaking federal immigration laws, then the Border Patrol probably wouldn't need as many officers and they wouldn't need to be recruiting in far-left cities such as San Francisco.

You are absolutely cluelessabout who comes into the United States. True, there are some good people looking to better their lives...but at the expense of the American people. Have you any idea the amount of convicted criminals who enter this country everyday. These are just the ones convicted in the United Stated that we know about. The Border Patrol nor the U.S. Government does not have a database of Mexican criminals or for any other country for that matter. Do you think that they don't come here knowing that they will never be caught for their crimes. What about terrorists...do you really think the government would spend the kind of money it is spending if a terorist was never apprehended entering through the border? How much violent crime is committed each year by illegal immigrants? How much is spent on medical care for illegal immigrants and not those who have a legal right to those services? Twelve million illegals inside the United States is a joke. If the Border Patrol supposedly caught 1.6 million a few years ago and by there own admission(ihave spoken to agents) they catch roughly ten percent..do the math and multiply it by years and years of illegal immigration, I bet you will come up with a higher number than twelve million! Sanctuary city...you should be ashamed to call a once great city such a name. All it means today is a place where criminals can hide with impunity. I am by no means a racist, I am married to a women of Mexican descent but enough is enough. The laws of the United States are clear you either have a legal right to be here or you are guilty the same as any other crime and it is about time somebody realized this before we allow our great nation to be destroyed from within.

Not everyone coming across the border is some poor soul simply looking for a better life. Yes, some of them are, but others are gang members, drug runners, child molesters, rapists, and murderers. Unfortunately, in the field you can't determine who is a bad guy and who isn't, so everyone gets taken in.

Wow, you are amazing. They are just coming to better their lives. If you are in San Francisco then I am guessing that you have not been on the border and been able to see who comes over. Like everyone else has said, yes there are some truly good hard working people trying to come over to better themselves. But the problem is they are so few compared to the many who are trying to bring drugs and who knows what else into our country. If you would spend a day along the border and see all the trash these people leave behind on honest hard working american homeowners land then maybe you would see the problem differently. By the way I have visited San Francisco before and spent money there, but until Sanctuary City changes its mind about helping people who break the law myself and many people I know will not come back. Also don't complain in a few years when your city is run down as you will have no one to blame but yourselves.
