SF State students celebrate Hindu New Year

Diwali is the Festival of Lights that marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year. Hundreds of varieties of food are offered to God in hopes of a peaceful and prosperous year. It is a time for devotees to meet with family and friends, give thanks to God, and celebrate their own spirituality.
