The Associated Students, Inc. at SF State continues to bring organic produce to the campus population every Thursday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jeremy Nicoloff, graduate representative of ASI and farmer’s market organizer said he hopes to eventually expand the market, which was kicked off last month, to include more vendors. The “fledging operation,” as Nicoloff calls it, is something he said he wishes to make an established ASI program. Some ASI members, he said, showed interest in starting up the market again in the fall. As the seasons change, so will the fruit. Nicoloff said he expects strawberries and blackberries in the coming markets. Students and faculty said they appreciated the convenience of organic produce on campus. “I hope it grows and continues to be here,” said SF State student Nathan Van Zandt. “I used to live on campus last year and I wish they had had a farmer’s market so that I could have gotten fresh produce. Especially since the stores are really far away.”
