The CSU Board of Trustee will be considering another 10 percent fee increase in the next meeting in Long Beach, CA on May 13. (See CSU fees skyrocketing on the last fee increase)

The increase would raise full-time academic fees to $3,354 per year. Teacher credential students would increase to $3,854 per year. Graduate student fees would rise to $4,134.

According to the CSU, revenues from the increase will provide $127 million, with one-third or about $42 million set aside for financial aid. The remaining amount would be set aside to offset reductions in the state General Fund to the CSU.

Once again a tuition increase.. Since 2000 there has been increases consistently and due to the SFSU Foundation's purchase and hand-off of the UPS and UPN the CSU regents have been piling on the debt to students. VALUE ENGINEER the SFSU masterplan, and cutback the expenditures for a decent education. There are many other sites and possible methods than demolition and reconstruction of surrounding neighborhoods. SFSU intentionally is neglecting the future site for the "creative arts center" since it was purchased which is a past of the parkmerced design and community's open space. Students need open space and garden plots, in addition to a community area. Demand and check the facts on the profiteeing of the U.Corp, in there purchase of the UPN and UPS blocks.
