SFSU softball pitcher Sonja Garnett took up the sport in Chino from her father as soon as she was able to hold a ball. Today she is an all-American pitcher and the reigning CCAA pitcher of the year.

With students voting on whether to accept a fee increase to fund and keep athletics alive at SF State, Garnett is not taking anything for granted in what may be her last season.
