It's difficult to describe the beatuty of Ireland, especially when Internet connectivity is seriously lacking.
At our holiday home in Rosscarbery, West Cork, there is a phone line, but at best I'm connecting at 26k, a wickedly slow connection by any standard. But here at the Skibbereen Public Library, made possible by the good people at the Cork County Council, I have an ISDN line for 45 minutes with my Cork County Library Card.
Across the road is the Arts building where an ISDN line costs €0.90/hour and where the docent told me they do not have enough connectivity to support the demand. With the area turning into a haven for the holiday making European yuppie crowd, an Internet access (wired or wireless) business might do very well.
I was wondering what I'd do after graduation and perhaps there is gold in them thar', er, wires.
