Yesterday we went to the beach and and i messed up my shoes. I had just bought them before i came and now i have to go buy me some more because i don't like the way they look now. The sand was very hot and the wind was blowing at a steady paste. After we left from over there we went back to the dorms to wash our clothes.

Shortly after washing clothes we went to the lounge to watch a movie called Born into Brothels. It was really a good movie because it described how people in the red light district in India live their lives. It was really sad because all the parents were either prostitutes or criminals. A lady from America had come to India and got attached to the kids living there. she taught a small group of kids how to take pictures and what a real good picture looks like. The way that these kids live their lives was very upsetting to me. They live filthy and appreciated living in the type of environment that was unhealthy and unclean.

No way in the world would i ever want to live that way but these people enjoyed every minute. It was very surprising to see how the mothers treated their young daughters. They cussed at them and called every name in the book. They did that so much that the young girls didn't even trip when their mothers told them they want them to join the line. All these young kids want is an education and to live better lives but because they're in the predicament that their in "hope" is not even a factor. Most of them believe that the only chance they have of making something out of themselves is by stealing and prostituting. That's very sad because they have an urge for something that they desperately need but can not have and that's an education. They have no way out and have no chances of getting into a descent boarding school because all of the schools would not except them because of where they come from and the background of their parents.

I'm glad i was able to watch a movie like this because this was an inspiration to my spirit and it allowed to appreciate what i have now and to strive even harder for the things i want out of life. I shouldn't take life for granted because it's always someone in worse living situations then I, no matter what. It seem like some people in America are spoiled rotten, and still want more but they don't see that it's people in other countries suffering tremendously and need help real badly.

This is why I take my education so seriously because without that it's hard to become the person you truly desire to be in life. I want to get an education so that way when I have my son or daughter they won't have to suffer and I'll be able to teach them right from wrong and give them the tools they need to survive and live a happy life.
