Michael Jordan’s Divorce Hits Home

Jevontea Branner, International Studies Academy, Wat it do, ISA? (February 2007):

I heard from my teacher that basketball legend Michael Jordan was getting a divorce. News reports confirmed that Jordan and his wife, Juanita, filed for divorce December 29, after 17 years of marriage. Jordan’s wife had filed for divorce once before in 2002, according to reports.

Well what I’m saying to you people is, watch who you mess with because that person who you are messing with might spread a rumor about you and that might lead you into a big argument and a fight.

I feel this way because I’ve actually seen this happen before in my family. It made me think that way because I didn’t want anybody else to end up in that type of situation. Then the person who started the rumor will start another rumor about you. This has never happened to me because I am not married and I’m still a young man.

I thought this would be a good article to write about so everybody could take notice of Michael Jordan’s story, and the issue of divorce.

I care because I don’t want any of my family members to get into a big argument and a fight and maybe get a divorce. So that’s why I care about this case.

People should read this because the issue of divorce is very important. Michael Jordan’s story tells you to watch your relationships because somebody could be watching your actions and they might start to argue, or fight and maybe get a divorce.

It is important to discuss divorce and cheating because when I get older it is good to know how to handle relationships. Maybe even now it’s good to know how to handle it to help a friend or family member on how to deal with it.

If you need help and want to handle your situation you can go see a mentor or a counselor.
