"Don't be a snitch!" That is the clear message to the passing pedestrians from a mural on the east end of 20th Street. The artist behind the mural is Pati Zapatita - a 29-year-old Chicana activist. Actually, Pati Zapatita is not the name she was giving at birth. But she prefers to use the catchy nickname since her sense of justice sometimes conflicts with the view of the Justice Department. Riding a bicycle anywhere near traffic in the Bay Area seemed less safe after two bicycle accidents, including a fatality, happened in Cupertino and at the Octavia and Market intersection in San Francisco this past March. But according to two San Francisco veteran bicyclists, the opposite is true in the Mission district. Sarah Bogen reports from the Mission District.

Because of the war in Iraq I started thinking of similar issues here in America. I started to think that people out here are also having a war about where they live or what they do. Because the young people are killing each other for power and drugs that they don’t need or have. Quinton Beverly reports from Potrero Hill.

I decided to interview a close friend of mine. He is a person who sells crack to our neighborhood. We both decided to not say his name to protect his identity because of the fact that selling crack is illegal. Crystal Lopez reports from Potrero Hill.
