Ladytron Brings British Beats to the Bay Area
Ladytron, a Liverpool-based band, toured through San Francisco promoting their recent releases "Witching Hour" and "Extended Play." The electronic four-piece group embarked on their first American tour in over three years which was a rare delight for their Bay Area fans. They plan to continue touring the United States before heading back to Europe.

Ladytron, a Liverpool-based band, toured through San Francisco promoting their recent releases "Witching Hour" and "Extended Play." Strength Through Song
Bay Area homes and punk venues often host clusters of political bands from around the country on makeshift stages while hosting bands inside murky basements. Greyskull and Owen Hart are two touring metallic hardcore bands composed primarily of younger generation vegan and straight edge anarcho-punks from Washington who are spreading their powerful yet personal political lyrics.

Historic SF State Campus Site may get Torn Down
Although SF State's previous campus is long gone there is still controversy over what it left behind. Hayes Valley historical activists and preservationists say they don’t want to lose the 1930’s building which contains public murals, mosaics and other architectural features that was SF State’s former main campus for 50 years.

Remember when you've heard a funny or inappropriate ringtone abruptly play during a quiet class lecture or an extensive closed-book midterm? With cell phone usage occuring throughout the campus, it is quite common to hear students' conversational clamor mixed in with their off-beat digital rings.

SF Open Studio Event Supports Emerging Artists
The 30th annual SF Open Art studios is one of the largest and longest-running visual arts events happening throughout the month of October. Each year, over 700 local and emerging artists feature themselves in galleries and private homes in San Francisco for the viewing pleasure of inquisitive art buffs, curious spectators and supportive friends.

San Francisco Responds to Aid in Relief Effort
In response to the displacement caused by Hurricane Katrina, the city of San Francisco has readied 300 beds at St. Mary's church and SF State announced it will accept applications from students whose colleges have been affected by the flooding.
