As I get older, I have begun to notice that my generation is inactive in the Iu Mien community, and I realize that our culture is at risk of becoming extinct. As traditions have gradually diminished, I witness my family’s separation, as with many other Iu Mien families in America, from our religious background. My father is the only one in my family who still practices the ancient Iu Mien religion.
