Students Shouldn't Pay Taxpayer's Tab
Athletics programs also provide a service to the campus. They emphasize the importance of physical fitness, serve as a conduit for school spirit and provide scholarship money for deserving students.
Ask yourself, if the college asked students to pay $60 a semester just to continue funding the journalism program, would you vote for it?

Dept. Chairman says Photojournalist's Arrest was "mishandled"
Photojournalism major Omar Vega said last week he was exercising his First Amendment rights when he took photographs of an alleged burglary that has resulted in his arrest and eviction from the dorms and could get him expelled.
