It's pitch black and silent in the canyon that Mines Road snakes through. But soon, a pack of hopped-up sports cars race their way around the last bend that’s hiding them in a hurry; blow by bumper to bumper while spitting revs, pops and gurgles, and bam! – tuck back in the darkness and silence just as quick as they came. Alumnus Films Daily Dangers in Baghdad
It is a dangerous place, but Pratap Chatterjee is used to it after traveling to the Middle East seven times since Sept. 11 to do journalistic and investigative work. After going to undergraduate school in India, he moved to London to gain his degree in journalism in 1987. In the summer of 2001, he received a master’s degree in cinema at SF State. With his new skills and tools, he set off to record political videos that he hoped would grab people’s attention.

Local Musician Spreads Musical Talent Throughout the Bay Area

Passers-by raised their eyes in question at his purpose on the street (and in this world) and then just as quickly they averted them as though unseen answers had drawn them away.
His name is Stevie Harris and he is a 33-year-old Oakland based musician with musical talent and roots as widespread as his personality.
